Prague Film Holidays

With the support of the Prague City Hall 

SPAFi is organizing daily camp the Prague Film Holidays for kids and youth in the age between 12 and 18 years.

The camp will be held daily from 6th to 20th August, starting 9am till 6pm and it will be based in Prague, in the area of Strahov college campus and sports facilities.

During the Prague Film Holidays camp participants will have the opportunity to become acquainted with the film environment, take insight into the technology of film production, and thus meaningfully fill their free time during the holidays.  

Thanks to our experienced tutor at SPAFi academy and our external contacts in the world of film industry, we are able to provide exceptional quality of educational activities and at the same time offer participants an interesting and fun way to spend free time. Through games and competitions the youth will learn a lot about the Czech filmmaking and videogame industry as well as global trends in new media. For participants of Prague Film Holidays will be organized an excursion to Barrandov film studios, various film clubs, and in addition to that our film school has the advantage of excellent location at Strahov.

Another part of the program will include discussions with the actors, stuntmen and film makers as well as film screenings related to interpretation and vivid descriptions of the various elements of post-production process or production tricks and special effects. In addition to the fun part teens will participate in a practical workshop, which consists of wide range of special developing exercises mainly focused on strengthening their communication skills while working in multicultural environment. All participants will be involved in various production roles, where the students led by our tutors and instructors will shoot their own short film or video artklip in groups of several participants. After that they will be introduced to the process of postproduction - editing raw film material and  also dubbing into another language.

We believe that the Prague Film Holidays is a project that helps discover new talents, develop them and inspire them, and thereby shall significantly improve the quality of Czech filmmaking in the future.
